This course leads to an internationally recognized qualification to enable students to treat members of the public. Many learners use this diploma to work within the complementary therapies industry or as a self-employed Massage Therapist.

What does the course cover?

All aspects of body massage are covered on this course. A wide range of practical techniques are taught and practiced so students really feel confident in their ability to treat others and adapt treatment. In addition to this, theory of complementary therapies and anatomy and physiology are examined and towards the end of the course a short business module helps students to prepare for their individual transition into the workplace.

How much does it cost?

£990 includes all course and registration fees, course books and reference materials. A deposit of £330 secures your place on the course followed by monthly payments of £66

Where is it held?

York School of Holistic Therapies is based at Millers Yard, Gillygate, York. We are a ten minute walk from York railway station and there is ample parking at Gillygate/Bootham car park.

Do I need previous experience?

No previous experience is needed. However, we are offering some short introductory and taster courses in the Autumn 2013 (from September) and Spring 2014 (from January) to wett your appetite and a chance for you to see if this is a therapy that you would like to study further. Your tutor will guide you step by step through accessible and widely beneficial tactile therapy.

Payment terms

The total price is £990 split into:
• Deposit of £330 (1/3 of course cost) to be paid on enrolment by cheque or direct bank payment
• Followed by 10 direct debit payments of £66 starting from when 1st May 2014 when the course starts
• Enrolments start now
• On enrolment a payment contract will be set up with you.
